Recent auditions at the Liszt Academy ended with an overwhelming success.
The renowned ENCUENTRO DE MÚSICA I ACADEMIA SANTANDER gathers famous musicians and selected students for a month of intensive workshops and concerts in the Spanish region Cantabria. Performing together with artists like cellist Natalia Gutman or violinist Marco Rizzi means a large step forward in the carrier of each young musician. Artistic director and founder of the Academia, maestro Péter Csaba leads the auditions personally.
This time he has heard several hundreds of applicants in eight major European cities and was delighted by the outstanding quality of the students of our Academy inviting from Budapest a larger number than ever before. The brilliant opportunity was this time earned by:
Tímea Acsai (flute), Kata Borsos (violin), Diána Dancsó (violin), Ádám Hegyes (piano), Janka Jámbor (cello), Bálint Mohai (bassoon), Attila Ökrös (violin), Bálint Váray (violin).
Founders of the INTERNATIONAL ORCHESTERINSTITUTE ATTERGAU are leading musicians of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Besides master courses and concerts dedicated to the specific sound of this world-known orchestra, classes in diverse fields related to music and musicianship are regularly organised in order to broaden the knowledge of the participants.
The audition in Budapest was held by director prof. Wolfgang Schuster. Impressed by the level of our students – before even finishing all the auditions in Europe – prof. Schuster invited seven of them to Attergau:
Gergely Csikota (trumpet), László G. Horváth (violin), Janka Jámbor (cello), Íde Ni Chonaill (bassoon), Sejla Simon (cello), Evelin Varga (French horn), Máté Vizeli (violin).
Participating last year and invited this time without auditioning is Bálint Váray (violin).
The Academy congratulates and wishes a wonderful summer full of lasting musical experiences!
